Q1: How much will it cost?
A1: Unlike most franchises we do not charge a set-up fee. You will need a computer, broadband Internet access, Excel, Word and an email client like Outlook or Outlook Express, but otherwise, there are no costly set-up fees.

Q2: How much can I earn?
A2: The amount you earn will depend on the size of magazine you produce. The larger the magazine the better the profit. However, as a guide, you should be earning in excess of £30,000 per year pro rata within your first year.

Q3: How many hours do I need to work?
A3: The number of hours you work is up to you and obviously the more hours you put in the greater the opportunity for success and increased profit. We would recommend that you need to be in a position to commit to 10 hours per week childfree time during normal office hours. You may sometimes have to take calls outside of this time however it is possible to have breaks inbetween magazine publishing dates.

Q4: Is it for me?
A4: The great thing about a Local Parent 'Build Your Own Business' is that we provide all the training and support you need to run your business. And you don't need to worry about being a technical wizard or modern day wordsworth as we do all the technical work of supporting and improving your website, and producing the magazine. So whilst experience in sales is an advantage, what you really need is bags of enthusiam, commitment and excellent communication skills.
