Annette is a qualified and experienced midwife. Annette will answer relevant posts in the Pregnancy forums, but if you have a specific question for Annette you can post it in our Ask A Midwife forum.

Flathead Advisors
If you are concerned about your shape of your baby's head, we have Madeline and Lucy to help offer advice in the Flat Head forum. Madeline is a Cranial Osteopath and Lucy's daughter Izzy wore a helmet to treat her misshapen head.

Hi, We have put together these forums to enable parents to share their experiences and seek help from other parents. Below are some basic rules to ensure that the Chat Forums are a pleasant safe environment for everyone. Note: Anyone found breaking the below rules risks having the account suspended and offending posts may be edited or deleted. No swearing – please keep your posts polite Respect other people’s views – the saying is that it ‘variety makes the world go round’. Everyone is entitled to their own point of view and not everyone is going to agree. Be nice – don’t be vindictive or post anything that could be construed as bullying. Finally: No shouting please – writing your post in UPPERCASE is the same as SHOUTING in real life. To turn off typing in UPPERCASE, use the Caps Lock key on your keyboard (it is usually found on the far left of your keyboard next to the letter ‘A’). Thank you

Entry is free and open to all registered users that post a qualifying post on the forums between 25th June 2008 and 31st July 2008
Posting a qualifying post on the forums between the above dates will automatically enter you into the competition
A qualifying post is one of the following:
- Posting a new topic that captures the imagination of other users
- Replying to another user's post offering good advice or support
Users who promote links to other websites, products or services in anywhere other than the Shop & Swap forum will be excluded from the competition
Local Parent's decision is final
The winner will be randomly selected
The winner will be notified by email by 5th August 2008
The winner will be sent a cheque for £50
This competition is open to UK residents only
The competition is only open to people aged 16 or over
This competition is not open to employees or contractors of Local Parent or any person directly, or indirectly, involved in the organisation or running of the competition, or their direct family members
The winner agrees to the use of their name, and general location, being posted on the Local Parent website, newsletters and in our magazine
